Pre-Move-In Pest Checklist for Central Texas Homes

Inside the Home

Look under sinks, behind appliances, inside cabinet hinges, pantry shelves, laundry rooms, closets, and baseboards. Watch for roach droppings, moisture damage, spider activity, and evidence of old pest treatments.

Garage and Attic

Inspect garage door corners, wall edges, utility penetrations, stored items, attic vents, and attic access areas. Look for droppings, gnaw marks, rub marks, torn screens, and insulation disturbance.

Exterior

Walk the slab edge. Look for termite mud tubes, heavy mulch, wood-to-soil contact, standing water, fire ant mounds, shrubs touching the home, clogged gutters, and weep holes.

Before Move-In Service

If possible, schedule treatment before furniture arrives. Interior access is easier, and garage, attic, and cabinet areas are easier to inspect and treat.
